The Little Green Sucker (LGS) is the ultimate DIY tool for installing Crown Molding and Trim. Connected to a portable air compressor, the LGS becomes the additional help needed to position your crown molding or any other awkward material being installed.

Each unit creates a powerful vacuum that attaches itself to any solid smooth / semi-textured surface. Once the LGS is positioned, the crown molding can be placed on the top of the LGS units, acting as a second set of hands. To break the powerful suction, simply put your finger over the exhaust port on the face of the unit and back pressure will release the unit into your hand. The LGS has proven to be an indispensable tool for installing crown molding and trim. It supports and positions your molding with the ease and flexibility that standard telescoping holding rods do not allow.

How does it work?

Each LGS has a small device called a venturi
that produces a powerful vacuum as air passes through it. Consuming less then 1 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) per unit at 40 psi, two units can easily be operated off one portable air compressor. The air is then exhausted out a port on the face of each unit. To release the LGS, simply put your finger over the exhaust port and back pressure will release it into your hand.

For installing crown molding, simply place the LGS at your alignment marks as shown here (see page 32 of our book, Crown Molding & Trim: Install It Like A PRO!). Position your crown molding on top of the LGS, adjust the support guide for the correct positioning, and then attach your crown. The LGS can be repositioned quickly allowing you to install your crown molding or trim with ease. Each unit is capable of supporting up to 25 pounds of weight (50 lbs. per set).

Having trouble measuring the lengths of your walls?

The LGS will allow you to easily measure those long walls. There are two strong magnets located on the top near the corners of each unit that will further assist you in holding your tape measure in place.
